Need some assistance and accountability to get started on your weight loss journey? Or maybe you’re on the verge of diabetes and trying to prevent it? Let me help you. I’ll give you tools to improve your health without taking away your favorite foods. I work with a variety of conditions including arthritis, cancer, cardiovascular disease, Celiac disease, diabetes, gastrointestinal disease, infertility, PCOS, obesity, weight loss/weight gain, nutrition support (tube feeding and IV nutrition) and general wellness/disease prevention. I see adults 18 and up. I do not prescribe fad diets and won’t sell you any pills, powders or BS.
I’m a Registered Dietitian, but we also go by the name nutritionist. The difference is that an RD has at minimum a 4-year degree from an accredited university, has completed 1200 hours of training in medical nutrition therapy, community nutrition and/or food service AND we have passed a rigorous credentialing exam to earn the letters after our name. In addition, we need to maintain continuing education of 75 hours every 5 years. We take your health and nutrition seriously, and you should, too! Anyone can call themselves a nutritionist, whether they have the credentials or not. Look for RD if you want the “Real Deal”.
Individual counseling sessions are 45-60 minutes and include: Nutrition summary/goals & tips, meal ideas and/or recipes, diet review, health articles for your condition and a progress note to your primary care office included.
